Kentucky, in its latest  backwater attempt at something, wants to take over the internet.  You can read more about it here.  Basically, because websites happen to have customers in Kentucky and they are gambling on them, Kentucky believes it can take control of domain names to these sites.  Most of these domains are registered in other countries.  Outside of US jurisdiction. But does that stop Kentucky? No.
